Or people just ignore what the article says because the graph they don't understand possibly supports their opinion.Bomber wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 8:56 am The problem with people who claim they got their doctorate from Google U:
Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior beliefs or values.
You can put almost any cockamamie opinion into Google and you will find something to support your conclusion especially if you only search through headlines and then only read the paragraphs you want to interpret as supporting your preconceived notion.

Jesus.
Are people still trying to argue that young men aren't at higher risk of myocarditis with the vaccine?
Yeah - that's why Euro countries are banning the vaccines or boosters for some age groups.
These are the same people who said "there's no room for debate. Masks work."
People who "believe in science" don't shut down conversations with "there's no room for debate."

There's plenty of room for debate with other scientists, and when data supports you, when you literally sit here and cite an article that literally doesn't support your point but the banner headline does, then there's no room for debate.
Men are at greater risk for the very very rare occurrence of myocarditis with the vaccine, they are also at greater risk to get myocarditis when they catch covid, not to mention the other problems like long covid, death, and other issues that come with it.

So, you realize the messaging from scientists wasn't that masks don't work, it was that masks don't protect you, and can cause you to be prone to contracting it, if you're playing with the mask the whole time. Now, that can be true, The same can be true that enough people wearing masks can prevent the spread of corona because it'll protect other people from you, that can also be true. This is where you don't seem to understand the messaging because, while I agree fauci and the CDC have been bad at this in general, the right wing media knew that no one on the right understands nuance so they just screamed "NOW MASKS ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK! THIS IS COMMUNISM " and ya'll fell for it.Bomber wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 1:47 pmWho are you quoting?Pop Zeus wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 12:48 pm Jesus.
