i think a difference between discussing in person versus on certain parts of the internet is that ridiculous groupthink logic, memes, and whathaveyou gets upvoted to the top while any and all conversational comment or counter-argument, no matter how polite or how well the argument is approached, gets buried. we don't have that downvote and bury nonsense here, but reddit sure does. facebook threads, right wing. reddit threads, left wing. twitter threads, chicken wing. etc.Pop Zeus wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 4:18 pmBaloney.CoconutBackwards wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 4:09 pm I feel like you can discuss these things with others in person, but no one can handle it on the internet.
Internet conversations aren't so different.
You go into Reddit and you see people saying things like:
"Unvaccinated people should not be treated at hospitals."
And shit like that gets upvoted.
It's allowed to stand without question. Without sanction.
That's some dangerous thinking. And it deserves to be challenged.
What's hard about talking about Yzerman's comments?
1. Do you test every day before you go to work?
2. Why should the players?
3. Is there a reason players are held to a tougher standard?
