Erne top shelves a puck in the shootout but in the final minute gives up an uncontested snipe to pass it into the skates of Rasmussen who ends up on his back. Again. And Ras looked pretty inept in OT. Credit Wings for grinding out an ugly gritty win.

Logic says that he now has natural immunity so he should be able to play in Canada. But I don't think logic works in this environment.

Well we've got that new omicron variant that will likely be the dominant strain come the time they'll be on their next Canadian road trip, so his current immunity won't matter.

I think there are degrees of protection. Natural immunity is more protective than the vaccine vs. the original virus. Having natural immunity is protective vs the variant but not as protective as a shot and natural immunity.

Didn't take long for Omicron hype to infect people

The larger issue is he has been sucking for a while. No goals in what, 10 games? And the biggest whiff on a one timer I've ever seen, back against Buffalo. Give him a few games off, he's behind on his annual quota anyway.

You're not wrong. We'll see how all it shakes out as we learn more about it.
