Harbs interviewing with Vikings. Given his ultra competitive nature, why stay at a place where you have no chance of reaching the pinnacle? I thought he was gone after the Georgia debacle. Not his fault just the realities of college football recruiting and the leg up the South has in this business.

Chris Balas (On3.com) says Harbaugh has a verbal offer from Minnesota and wouldn't have gotten on a plane without it. And that he's planning on signing a contract tomorrow. Stoops, Fickell, Hart, Gattis, Rhule who else? Who do you like as a replacement. Also, UM working on a coaching search and shouldn't be long.

And Tom Brady makes it official and retires. Whether you like him or not, he had quite a career.

Didn't Brady start out as Michigan's back up for the Brighton hotshot kid who was a QB and a baseball player?

Yeah, it was Drew Henson. Supposed to be the next big thing, but not so much. Henson ended up playing MLB baseball for a few years, but wasn't much there either.

So Harbs staying at UM. Not clear if he turned them down or was never offered. Next contract needs a big buyout to discourage this from replaying every year.

not sure which thread this belongs in, but it looks like Verbeek is leaving the team to take over GM duties for Anaheim.
