Jets are interested.
I honestly thought it was a no-brainer that he would sign with Carolina and join his brother.
He’s gotta sign with whoever will take him at this point and probably a two-way deal. He’s probably about a season away from the KHL. He probably wouldn’t have made our roster. It’s hard to envision him making a playoff team - but those teams aren’t out signing Gagner and the like, so maybe.

Sorry, I should have said A two way contract with Carolina. Didn't mean to insinuate that he would make the team with his brother directly. I see your point though, we definitely got the wrong brother.

Another loser the Wings wasted a #1 pick on.
Throughout history, every old man said the same thing about the younger generation. And old men die, and the world keeps spinnin'.

By all accounts, the kid is a quality human being who works extremely hard… but you call him a “loser” because he just couldn’t avoid injuries throughout his time in Detroit?
That’s one pathetic take if I’ve ever seen one!

Another assist for Svechnikov.
Gotta be close to earning a contract with the Jets.

Good for Svech. Would love to see him make a fool of Blashill and Yzerman, but especially Blashill.

Nice little write up on Chevy here…

It’s ok guys, we have Carter Rowney and we had Bobby Ryan in on a PTO? Who needs our former first round pick to get a shot?

I admit I am surprised he stuck. But he's getting the same shot in Winnipeg that he would have got in Detroit. And like in Detroit he's baaarely holding on.

Even if he sticks on the Jets fourth line, this is the best for everybody.
