6 shots on goal is pretty good though. Soderblom getting 4 shots in 6 minutes is nice work.

I have no idea if Soderblom will be good enough to play in the NHL one day.
But whenever I see him, he does enough to keep me hopeful.

The NHL plans to start the season on Jan 1st and still have an 82 game season.
Even in previous seasons the European leagues start before the NHL does and finish long before the NHL season does but this year will finish most likely finish much later than usual. I think we will see a bunch of these guys play with the Wings after the deadline.
I am pretty sure the Yzerplan is to move as many vets as possible for picks and prospects at the trade deadline and bring in the young guys from Europe to finish the season with the Wings which is a perfect plan for this team especially considering the expansion draft. A lot of guys will get opportunities that they wouldn't be able to get with other teams hopefully increasing their trade value.

I’m really starting to come around to Elmer Söderblom. I haven’t seen it much in the SHL yet, but he makes a lot of plays like that in the U20 league. Better skating and better hands than I’d expect from a 6’7” forward.

I was really surprised with how fluid a skater he is considering his height and age at the Wings' prospect camp last year. He has pretty good hands as well. He looks noticeably stronger in some of the clips I have seen of him this year as well.tarohirose wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 12:39 am I’m really starting to come around to Elmer Söderblom. 10 hot prospects in Europe.

Out of all the Wings' prospects Berggren has surpassed expectations far more than any other to start the season.

Niederbach now: 16 games 10-20-30
Seems way too good for the junior league.
