Eric is 36
Marc is 34

Buffalo played Eric 15 minutes a night and he put up 10 points in 32 games (48% on face-offs).

Wanna do a 1-year package deal?

Personally, I'm not that interested.
But what did Eric do in Montreal after he went there?

^^ Going to be tough for them to sign Landeskog now. They'd probably have to move Johnson's salary.

Makar's deal is said to be precedent setting in that they're paying him for what he's going to do, not what he's done. It only takes him one year into UFA status.

That’s a pretty strange thing to say. First, I don’t see the precedent there. That’s a pretty normal thing. Second he was nearly a PPG d-man as a freshman and was as a sophomore, and still got less than Seth Jones, who he’s already better than.

Not saying you’re saying this, it’s just a strange way to frame it.

I think it’s a bit of a bargain tbh. Makar is a top 3 player under 25 in the game. McDavid and Pettersen are my other 2.

Yeah it was some of the pundits saying it. I think they might have been saying we haven't seen these types of deals for defenseman yet.
