Mantha to Washington?

Just watching the Hockey Buzz trade show and one of the guys there just said the Wings could be moving Mantha to the Caps for Vrana and Panik. Not a done deal, but it's being reported as possible.

Capitals, Red Wings Make Mantha-Vrana Trade

The Washington Capitals and Detroit Red Wings have made arguably the biggest trade of deadline day. Kevin Weekes of NHL Network is reporting that the Capitals have acquired Anthony Mantha in exchange for Richard Panik and Jakub Vrana. Weekes tweets that there are first and second-round picks involved in the trade as well.

Last three years 190 60-64-124 416 shots. 2739 minutes
vs Mantha
last three years 152 52-55-107 435 shots 2773 minutes
Panik. He's 30. Decent power forward type, but looks like he's about done. He's got good hands. Used to be physical. Hits have fallen through the floor.
Vrana-whoever-Zadina might make a good line

19-20 1.55 G/60 2.68 p/60
20-21 1.19 G/60 2.51 p/60

Vrana can score and is younger.
It's obvious we will miss Mantha's hands, brains, size, and strength. Unfortunately, he's been so bloody inconsistent. I think it was a given Yzerman wouldn't put up with his shit and trade him at the first opportunity. I think this is a good return.
Also, that 2nd round pick is in 2022.
