If Detroit has six stars then we're at a pretty large disagreement on the meaning of the word "star".
Throughout history, every old man said the same thing about the younger generation. And old men die, and the world keeps spinnin'.

Yeah,
I'd change it to world class players.

Detroit ...
Larkin isn't there. On the bubble.
Seider is there, or close.
Raymond might be on the way.
Kane used to be.

Or Hall of Fame types.

56 points from a D is star level production. He just didn’t actually play any D.

So according to this guy, the 2024 Wings had 6 true stars, the 2002 Wings had 7? I am having some doubts.

I wonder how many times the Cup winning team got a true star season out of a goalie.
It was my understanding there would be no math in the debates.

World class types.
Guys who will be HOFers or close to HOFers.
Guys who finish top 10 in all star voting at their position.

Let's be real.
Larkin has never finished top 10 in all star voting at center.

Kane hasn't finished top 10 since 21-22.

Raymond never has. Maybe he will one day.

Seider might, soon. He was 16th as a rookie.

Gost finished 9th one year.\

In 2009, the last time the Red Wings were really elite,
They had:
Datsyuk, 2nd
Zetterberg, 8th
Hossa, 2nd
Lidstrom, 2nd
Rafalski, 8th
Kronwall, 19th
