So if the Wings win out and the Caps don’t then the Wings are in. If the Rangers win their final game against Ottawa they will be our opponent. If the Rangers lose to Ottawa and any of Boston, Florida or Carolina win out, they will be our opponent.

Wings need at least 3 point in the last 2 games to have a chance. Philly plays Washington on Tuesday so one of those 2 teams will end up with at least 89 points and the tie breaker over the Wings. If the Wings lose in regulation, it's possible the last spot could come down to the Philly Washington game, winner gets in.
