Jets @ Capitals - Caps can leapfrog Detroit with a game in hand.

Devils @ Islanders. Islanders can climb right back in and get within 1 of the Wings. Devils can get within 4 of the Wings. Devils have one of the easier schedules left. I had the Devils winning this one. If they lose today and tomorrow, good bye, most likely.

Panthers @ Flyers. Had the flyers with an OTL today and they got a win. Have them losing vs Florida - would be a huge win.

Tampa @ Ducks - Tampa seems like a sure beat to pull away, but they've got to actually do it.

Sabres @ Flames - Slim hopes of the Sabres barely alive.

Tonight's games
Washington 4 Detroit 3 OT - A three-point game. Detroit falls two points behind Washington and the Caps have one game in hand. Importantly, they also have the tiebreaker.
Rangers 6 Flyers 5 (OT) - Flyers got an OT loss out of it. They're only 3 points up on Detroit and one point up on Washington. It could become a Detroit vs Philly race. Detroit has a game in hand on Philly and Washington has two.
New Jersey 6 Toronto 3 - The Devils with a huge road win. If they're winning the tough ones, that could bode well because they've got a lot of easy ones. If the teams above NJ stumble - and they've been stumbling a lot this season, NJ could race past everyone.
Penguins 4 Carolina 1 - A murmur from the depth of the playoff standings.

Wednesday's games
Bruins @ Tampa - Tampa hasn't quite iced anything. On the other hand, they're closer to Toronto than falling out of it.
Sens @ Sabres - Whatever slim hopes the Sabres have cannot withstand a loss to the lowly Sens at home.

Wings get back that point they lost in the loss Saturday to Nashville. Three more tough games in a row. Chance to gain ground on the projection though.
They're going through the teeth of the final stretch now on this five game road stretch, starting 0-1-1. I had them at 0-3-2. If they can even squeeze out 1 win, they can put themselves in a better position.

Two big wins for the Caps, but they were supposed to win them.
Detroit and Washington appear headed for another huge game in a couple weeks.
I don't know what the hell Ken Daniels was talking about when he said they have an easy final schedule than Detroit. I only have them for 2 wins. And only one of those seems like a gimme.

The Devils pick up a huge win to make up for their ugly loss to the Senators. They're two points off the Washington and Detroit projection. The Devils can make that up by turning a couple projected OTLs in to wins at Buffalo and Ottawa. They finish at Philly and NYI.
