Colorado. Sure.
35 shots? Sure.
But 5 goals is 5 goals.
Lyon is faltering.

You're not watching the game if you think that this game was Lyons fault in any way.
Almost 40 shots through 2 periods, constant pressure and he's made some big saves in this game.

The main reason they were only trailing by 2 for the first 39 minutes.

I don't think the game is Lyon's fault, but he also should have stopped those last two goals that went right through him. Keeping up with Colorado was always going to be tough without Larkin.

The last shot went through a lot of traffic. Can't blame Lyon for that one.

I am watching the game.
I've watched 3 iffy goals go in.
40 goals = 1 out of 8 shots.
That's 87.5%.
That's about what he's giving up over his last 10 games.
Make it 11.

What's that? 2 goals that didn't even make it to the back of the net?

It's important to focus on when those 'softer' goals started going in. He was lights out early on, lots of shots directed at him but as the game went on and the Avs were all over him, you have to consider that fatigue may be playing a factor as well, especially at altitude.
Lyon hasn't been the .920sv% goalie he was during the hot stretch, but he hasn't been that bad either; he's giving the team a chance every night and he's went up against some of the top teams in the league in the last little while.

Yes. The 4-2 goal. And 5-2 goals.
The goals that essentially ended the game.
If he makes those saves, it's still a game.

Jesus.
