Referees-Stephen Hiff (46), Casey Terreri (75).
Linesmen-Spencer Knox (66), Christopher Williams (64).
At least statistically speaking Cossa dominated Askarov in this one.
From watching the highlights, Askarov let in some iffy goals that just went through him. First one on Cossa was a breakaway but he bit on a fake and couldn't back up anymore to stop the guy from just going by and sliding it in. 2nd goal on Cossa the just let one guy walk out of the corner and shoot, Cossa made the save but then it was batted in short side.

Apparently Milwaukee had the 2nd longest winning streak in AHL history with 19 straight wins before this loss. Hopefully GR can keep this going and make the playoffs so the kids get some much needed playoff experience.

Askoarov is having a great season 21-7-1, 2.11, .920 with Milwaukee and 1-0-0, 1.47, .943 in 82 minutes of action with the Preds.
Griffs are undefeated in regulation in their last 15 (11-0-4)

The Griffins are 17 points above the playoff cutline, per Bob Kaser last night.

The Yzerplan is working down in the AHL as well.
It was my understanding there would be no math in the debates.

They are tied for 8th in their conference 2 points ahead of Bakersfield, the 9th place team who have a game in han d on the Griffs.
The Griffs were cellar dwellers but have gone 16-2-4 since Christmas

If I am reading right, all that matters is where you stand in the division. Top 5 teams in the Central make it, and Grand Rapids is 17 points ahead of 5th.

An absurd number of teams qualify, but nonetheless the Griffs have been good for a long time as you note.

I think it's the top 8 in the conference that make it to the playoffs like in the NHL but I may be wrong

6 teams from each division are getting into playoffs. It's hard not to get in.
1st and 2nd places in the division are skipping 1st playoffs round. Total of 3 rounds of divisional playoffs. The winners of Divisional finals are playing in Conference finals, and then - Calder Cup final.
