Either Hutch is hurt or the Griffs took my advice and have handed Cossa the reigns who earned a shutout tonight as Griffs defeated Rockford 3-0. 19 straight games without a regulation loss for Cossa and 19 home games for the Griffs without one

DelHowLich wrote: Mon Mar 25, 2024 5:35 pm The Red Wings have assigned winger Jonatan Berggren to AHL Grand Rapids, per a team release.

Berggren, 23, had been a healthy scratch in five straight games. The 2018 second-round pick was one game away from losing his waiver-exempt status, which lapses next season regardless of if he plays another NHL game in 2023-24.
Berggy's done here.
Maybe he gets a shot on a different team next year.
Or maybe the Raymond/Seider contracts force the Wings to dump a couple veterans, opening a spot for Berggren, who'll be 24 years old in July.
A piece to get a RD or a goalie this summer.
Or Zegras

Ducks signed Cutter Gauthier today. He has been playing mostly center in his last season with the Eagles. The ducks have a glut of centers now and Zegras could be gone. I don't think he is Stevie's type of player, but maybe he overlooks that with the need for a 2C. Zegras has played mostly wing this season. It probably would take Berggren, a 1st and Soderblom and his Mom.
