His first full season with Vancouver has been a successful one as the 26-year-old has already set career highs in assists (40) and points (45) while averaging a little under 24 minutes a night. Hronek is owed a qualifying offer of $5.28MM but stands to earn considerably more than that on a long-term deal this summer with arbitration rights. Hronek is only one year away from UFA eligibility so if these discussions don’t go well, he could simply elect to file for arbitration, take the award, and look to test the open market in 2025."

Gonna cost 8 x $7.5M I would think!
I'm thinking 5 or 6 years. He's been a good partner for Hughes, but I wouldn't sign him until he's 34.

Depends on what that does to the cap hit. A longer deal will likely lower the cap hit and at 8 years, it’s all likely the next GMs problem. A 5-6 year deal could easily put them in position to have to decide on a 10 mil+ deal at the end of it. 7.5 or less could turn into a bargain. There are currently 24 d-men with a cap hit of 7.5 or more.

He's 6'2" and couldn't handle a guy 2 inches shorter than him. Pathetic.

Don't be daft.
Luke Kunin has been known to throw 200 hits in a year.

Seider wasn't a 6'2 Lidstrom Lady Byng candidate. He's a big guy who throws his weight around.
But leave it to the RWC peanut gallery to be obtuse as ever.

Hitting doesn’t = fighting. Ask Kronwall.

Kronwall threw normally around 80, 90 hits.
Not 200.
