Pius Suter had a hat trick for the Canucks (32-11-5) as they remain in first place in the overall standings with 69 points.

Bertuzzi has 6 goals in 47 games.

0.43 points per game -- the worst of his career.

... at 5.5M a year.

What a brilliant trade by Yzerman.

Reminds me a bit of David Clarkson, who also had a 30-goal season, signed a big contract and watched his career take a nosedive.

What are you talking about?
CLarkson had two good seasons (one was shortened) and got paid.

Bertuzzi had 3 good seasons in four years, subtracting that 5 goals in 9-game season.

He struggled in Detroit in his final year and DID NOT GET PAID.
And then Boston couldn't pay him.
And then he went to Toronto FOR ONE SEASON.

He hasn't been paid, period.

6 goals this season.
8 goals in 50 games last season, split between Detroit and Boston.

Gets paid 5.5M... because he scored 30 as a first line forward on a defensively-challenged Blashill team.

He'll be out of the league within the next 3 seasons.

18 goals and 29 points for Mantha on the year through 51 games. I hope Bulchenikov pans out, otherwise we got nothing from that trade. Meh, we did trade the first we got in that deal up to get Cossa, so there’s still plenty of hope there too.

"Allvin confirmed that the team has offered an extension to defenseman Filip Hronek. His first full season with Vancouver has been a successful one as the 26-year-old has already set career highs in assists (40) and points (45) while averaging a little under 24 minutes a night. Hronek is owed a qualifying offer of $5.28MM but stands to earn considerably more than that on a long-term deal this summer with arbitration rights. Hronek is only one year away from UFA eligibility so if these discussions don’t go well, he could simply elect to file for arbitration, take the award, and look to test the open market in 2025."

Gonna cost 8 x $7.5M I would think!
