Anthony Mantha
10 games 3-1-4 -3

So far in Washington:
60 games 16-19-35 15:46
Not awful. But man. $5.7M??

Vrana has played even less than Mantha but has similar numbers
39 games 22-10-32 15:25
Expect that goal scoring pace to drop because he's not shooting 21.6% forever.
The 13.1% he shot at Washington was very good - and even that's a hard pace to maintain.

Luke Glendening
This season: 9 games 1-0-1 +2 66.7% on faceoffs.
2 seasons in Dallas so far:
91 games 10-7-17 -15 59.3% faceoffs
Playoffs last year
6 games 0-0-0 -2 69.6 percent faceoffs.

Not keeping Glendening is one of the more perplexing decisions Yzerman has made.

Athanasiou - last 3 seasons Chicago/LA
84 games 24-21-45 +3 15:12
Pretty solid, really. Not quite 30G AA, but AA had that 30G season getting 16:58/game.

This season in Chicago
9 games 3-2-5 +2 16:27
No chemistry at all right now on that AA-Domi-Kane line though.

I didn't get that one either, unless LFG didn't want to be here anymore, which I could understand.

There was always a try-hard stat you could find to justify keeping Glendenning around. Anything but wins and points. I am so glad he is gone.

He was always held up as a role model for young players.
He is a RH center.
He wins draws.
He plays hard minutes - saving your other guys for easier minutes.
I would have gone 3Yx2M for him to keep him in Detroit.

I was never really a LGD fan early on. But he won me over.

You could be correct, or you could be experiencing Stockholm Syndrome.

He won me over on the Griffs Calder Cup run. He actually started the season in Toledo but was eventually promoted to GR.
The Wings converted him to C and he learned to be great on the draws. Babs and Blash relied him too much for what he was but he is the epitome of a good penalty-killing bottom 6C.

Which is how I'd use him

E-Svech with a goal yeterday.
3-3-6 in 12 games.
Basically a 20-20-40 pace in 11+ minutes a night
