Eh, Pronman's new list has Miroshnichenko at no. 2 (https://theathletic.com/3077096/2022/01 ... ason-mark/), so you're not on an island there. I don't agree, but I can see the appeal.holytoledo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 6:50 pm Tankathon has a with a > 80% chance at picking 12 right now and taking this guy: https://www.tankathon.com/nhl/players/i ... shnichenko.
TBH: Not a fan of taking a LW, but he looks like one helluva value at 12.
They have all of the Cs I’d really like gone before 12 but Rutger McGroarty is 13 on their board. I’d be good with him, seems like he might just be in the next tier below Miroshenicko.

Gotta be time to bring up Berggy soon, no?
Can't imagine he'll be too happy if he spends the entire year down there.

i think he's got to be first in line when someone goes down. if nothing else, he's got to get his 10(?) games in to get a feel for the difference between the ahl and the nhl.

Yeah, I'd be real curious to see if his playmaking from the wing can offset our lack of playmaking centers. Put him on a line with Rasmussen and tell Ras to play down low in the o-zone.
Seems like the Guelph storm line is clicking. Zadina - Ras - Berggren seems like it's worth a shot as the 3rd line and I'd split the looks there at C between Ras & Joey V and see if either of them can grab a chunk of cheese.

Hey if he goes that high and pushes a C down to us I'm all for it.hiramnicak wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 12:36 pmEh, Pronman's new list has Miroshnichenko at no. 2 (https://theathletic.com/3077096/2022/01 ... ason-mark/), so you're not on an island there. He's a point away from leading his team, with 5 fewer games played than the guys he's bunched up with. We might have something here.
Luca Cagnoni - this kid is really starting to pile up the points in a weak D class. I bet he's shooting up some draft boards.

It's a nice bounceback year after a weird year for Hanas last year. But I'm not sure he's earned a contract yet.
The guy ahead of him is a year younger and was taken in the 7th round last year.
The guy tied with him is an 18-year-old ranked 205th among North Americans in the upcoming draft. (Pat Stefan's kid).
Among WHLers in their D+2 season Hanas ranks 13th in the league in scoring.
That doesn't scream NHL material.
Might be better to go sign the 5'10 kid with 57 points in 37 games.
There's a 6'3 forward undrafted forward/center named Ben King who has 28 goals and 49 points in 39 games.
