Every time I hit NHL.com, there's a story about McDavid.
Meanwhile, Leon Draisaitl leads McDavid in goals, points and plus minus.

Drai - 20 games 20-20-40 +14
McDavid - 20 games 14-22-36 +4

Kind of weird.

McDavid is all speed and athleticism.

Draisaitl is the brains.

Like Larkin/Raymond.

I watched quite a few of their games 2 years ago when Draisaitl won the the Hart and when they separated them, Draisaitl would got the best linemates (they only had 2 other guys with any skill) and McDavid was a line on his own pretty much. Of course they would pair them together as much as possible though).
I haven't watched them much this year.

Probably because Draisaitl actually knows how to utilize his linemates.

I watched a lot of the Oilers when Athanasiou was there. McDavid was like AA on steroids.
Everything good about AA - but way better.
But a lot of the same limitations.

Somehow, the dude goes 4-5-9 in 4 playoff games but only goes +1.
At times, he's sleepwalking on defense.

Watch McDavid play a game and I assume you’ll understand why.
Throughout history, every old man said the same thing about the younger generation. And old men die, and the world keeps spinnin'.
