Yes, they deserved it. This season was a good building block, but this is not a playoff team yet.
Interesting comments from Copp regarding the losing streak.
He mentions that even at the end of the winning streak, they got away from playing a certain way and won the last few games by simply outscoring the opposition. Then, they faced "playoff hockey" from the NYI that they weren't prepared for.
He also mentions (what I think we all know) that they should have been able to overcome the loss of Larkin, which only amplified team's lack of swagger. Isn't that coach's job to right the ship?
