Welp 11 point improvement over last year. Picking 15 it looks like.

I was pretty close in my season prediction of 96 pts and narrowly missing the playoffs.
That 7 game losing streak with no points really did damage to their playoff chances. They gave their all in the end, but the Caps deserved it.
Who would have thought they'd be in it at the end with Husso only starting 19 games?

Carter Yakemchuk or Charlie Elick, or Zayne Parekh look good, all RD's with decent size.holytoledo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 9:54 pm Welp 11 point improvement over last year. Picking 15 it looks like.

Last time they hit 40+ was in 2015/16.
On the flip side, 273 GA is nowhere close to being good. Back in 2015/16, we gave up 219 GA.

Goal scoring has been gradually increasing for a while now and I am pretty sure it still is. 9 guys have scored more than 100 points this year, only Kane scored 100 ((106) in 15-16 and Benn was second in the league with 89 points and only 3 other players scored more than 80 so you can't really compare goals allowed now to then but only 7 teams have allowed more goals than the Wings and conversely only 7 teams scored more goals than the Wings this year. Playing a more offensive game will lead to more goals allowed but having said all that, they do need better defense and goaltending. A full of year with Edvinsson should address some of that.Zattaman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:04 pm41 wins.winged wheel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 10:00 pm I was pretty close in my season prediction of 96 pts and narrowly missing the playoffs.

They should keep swinging for a Lindgren type find in net until one of the prospects is ready. Bednar is having a great season with Toledo.

Man, IDK. We gotta let Perron, Gost, at least one of Fischer and Sprong go and upgrade RD somehow behind Seider.
Johansson, Kasper, Mazur & Berggren if we don’t move him all deserve a real shot at the roster.
