So many scenarios.
If Washington beats Philly, Detroit's out, regardless of what Detroit does.
Philly is the home team and Washington is playing a back to back. The Flyers are still gonna be motivated by that slight, slight chance to get in.
If Washington gets an OTL and Detroit gets an OTL, Detroit's out. Pittsburgh could sneak in with a win and take it.
If Detroit wins and Washington loses, Detroit wins.
If Detroit OTLs and Washington loses, the Penguins can overtake Detroit with a win.
If Detroit loses, Washington loses the Flyers, and the Pens lose, the Flyers can get in with a Penguin regulation loss.
Bottom line - Detroit needs to outpoint Washington. They cannot tie them.
Despite that disadvantage, Detroit should win. They nearly choked yesterday.
The Habs played Lane Hutson (20) in his first game.

Both games are being played at the same time. If Detroit runs away with the game early, and Philly see that, do they lose heart and let the Caps win????
