Marchand $6.125 - one of the best wingers in the sport.
Taylor Hall $6M - That's a good deal (and you guys looking at Larkin's contract ought to look at this).
Bergeron - $2.5M
Krejci - $1M
Some of their guys aren't underpaid.
McAvoy. Coyle.
Pasta could make a big statement if he stays in Boston under $10M

Bergeron is $2.5 million? That is insane.Pop Zeus wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:25 am Marchand $6.125 - one of the best wingers in the sport.

Bergeron is actually making 5 mil this season. He has a 2.5 mil bonus for playing 10 games. Krejci has 2 mil in bonuses. 1 mil for playing 10 games, 500K more to play 20 games and another 500K for making the playoffs. If they can't fit those bonuses in this season, that means those bonuses will be on their cap next season giving them less cap space for next year.Pop Zeus wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:25 am Marchand $6.125 - one of the best wingers in the sport.

Hall hasn't been a ppg player since his big season with the Devils in 2017-18. He was only a ppg player twice before that in his career. A lot harder to get a good top 6 center than a winger. Perron has similar numbers to Hall this season and so does Kubalik. The supply of top 6 centers is not the same as it is for top 6 wingers. Larkin will get paid no matter what. Kadri got 7x7 at age 32 and only was a ppg player once (last season). Horvat and Larkin will get more than that because too many teams need a good top 6 center but there aren't enough of them for all teams.

Oh please.
Krejci made over 7M a season for 6 years, then went back to Czechia. He's 36. He wanted to come back, so he signed a 1M deal... but he's got a shot at 2M performance bonuses.
Bergeron also made good money throughout his career. Also wanted one more shot at the Cup. And, he also has a shot at doubling his salary due to performance bonuses (2.5M).
Same thing with Hall. Made a ton of money through his career. Gets paid 6M for 32 points in 51 games. And, has a modified NTC.
The only underpaid player is Marchand.

On a one year deal, Krejci is WAY under paid.
12 goals, 30 assists 42 points.
Bergeron - 1 year, $5M.
Coming off a 65 point season in 73 games.
That's a fucking steal on a ONE YEAR deal.
Taylor Hall sucked in Buffalo but put up 14 points in 16 games in Boston.
The 3 seasons before that:
174 games - 182 points
Any way you slice it, Taylor Hall was a great deal for Boston.
And Marchand.
