Yup, Hirose put on waivers. No idea if it's just to send him to GR or if this Hirose's NaNa HeyHey Goodbye.

given that hirose can't crack the red wings' lineup, i can't imagine a playoff team claiming him, but the griffins' season is basically done, no?

He is injured but the Wings never said what it was. My guess is it might be a concussion from that fight with MacEwen. He got dropped with a punch in that fight and hasn't played since. I guess it could also be some fracture in his face/hand or something. TSN just says undisclosed injury with him.
