Anyone know anything about lundell?
Only place I saw anything good was a Finnish prospects site that might be biased.

Bob List

(8) Frank Nazar, C - Taking my shot a possible elite skill guy
(40) Jiri Kulich, C - two way C/LW. Complete. Good compete/IQ.
(52) Gleb Trikozov, C - Top six winger potential
(72) Adam Sykora, RW - Sounds like a potential middle six, PK guy. Skating. IQ. Ethic and skill.
(104) Daniil Orlov, LD - Skating and compete is there. Great athlete.
(112) Fabian Wagner, RW - Does everything well. Plays in defensive situations.
(128) Topias Leinonen, G - Big goalie
(136) Alexander Pelevin, LD - fast, physical, competitive defenseman.
(200) Dominik Rymon, RW - Hard working, speedy forward.
(211) George Fegaras, RD - All around D.

010 RW Jonathan Lekkerimäki 8 ▶ 10 & 42
040 RW Filip Mesar
042 LC Noah Östlund 8 ▶ 10 & 42
052 LC Riger Lorenz
072 LD Lane Hutson
104 RW Adam Sykora
112 LC Marcus Vidicek
128 GT Topias Leinonen
136 LW Beau Jelsma
200 LD Alexander Pelevin
211 LC Samuel Savoie

I still prefer Marco Kasper, but I'm going to assume he's off the board at eight, and I wanted to see how I feel seeing Jonathan Lekkerimäki's name on the board. A lot of big swings in general on this go... mostly smaller forwards and defensemen. Alexander Pelevin's draft profile reads a lot like Niklas Kronwall though, a guy who plays a lot bigger than his size, and Hutson too plays bigger than you'd expect for a 5'9" defenseman.

Nothing about Kasper Lundell makes me think that I would want him in the 3rd or 4th round where he's projected to go. If we got him in the 5th or later, I think he has the high hockey IQ that the team seems to pick for. I see him as defensively sound for a forward but won't do much in the offensive zone unless he gets better at his skating. Potential upside is that we draft him and then his brother wants to come play for us in 4-5 years as a free agent.

Bob McKenzie's midterm list... looking rather outdated. Managed to pick up four projected first-rounders and a fringe first.

010 LC Marco Kasper 8 ▶ 10 & 42
040 LD Lian Bichsel
042 LC Jiri Kulich 8 ▶ 10 & 42
052 LC Noah Östlund
072 RC Jagger Firkus
104 LW Dylan James
112 LC Quinn Finley
128 LD Arseni Koromyslov
136 RW Nicholas Moldenhauer
200 LC Samuel Savoie
211 LD Jackson Edward

Using the new McKenzie list, I took:

8 C Brad Lambert
40 C Filip Bystedt
52 C David Goyette
73 RW Devin Kaplan
105 LD Filip Nordberg
113 RD Artyom Barabosha
129 RD Charlie Leddy
137 LD Seamus Powell
201 C James Fisher
212 LW Owen Van Steensel

Kasper was gone at #7, so I swung for the fences with Lambert. If he doesn't work out, took two more centers with the next two picks. Surely one of them will make it as a second line center in the NHL.

I used Bob McKenzie's list. Last year, Nashville gave up the 40th and 51st picks to move up to 27th. I wasn't able to pull that move off with 40th and 52nd, but I made some zany trades to move back with Anaheim and catapult back up into the first.

010 RW Jonathan Lekkerimäki 8 ▶ 10 & 42
025 LD Lian Bichsel 40 & 42 ▶ 25
052 RC Jagger Firkus
073 LW Kirill Dolzhenkov
105 RD George Fegaras
113 RD Kasper Kulonummi
129 LC Brandon Lisowsky
137 LC Servác Petrovský
201 LC Cedrick Guindon
212 LC Samuel Savoie

Detroit Red Wings
(8) Frank Nazar, C - Taking a shot at elite talent.
(40) David Goyette, C - Back up plan at elite talent
(52) Gleb Trikozov, C - Elite talent.
(73) Aleksanteri Kaskimäki, C - Good all around player. Perhaps underrated skill.
(105) Fabian Wagner, RW - All around, all-situations forward. Maybe just scratching the surface on skill.
(113) Topias Leinonen, G - 6'5 goalie with athleticism.
(129) Ryan Healey, RD - 6'0, speedy/skilled defenseman who makes mistakes Hopefully the long college development program works in his favor.
(137) Alexander Pelevin, LD - Among the best skaters in the draft. Also physical. Average skills.
(201) Yegor Savikov, LD - 5'10 all around LD. Great ratings on competition, skating and IQ, good on skill.
(212) Vinny Borgesi, RD - Not rated by HP - 5'8 RD who is an elite skater with very good hockey sense and good compete. Skill leaves a lot to be desired - but he's going the college route
