Really just some fan rumors fanning speculation.
Not sure how I feel about it. Brannstrom was a guy I would've been OK with at #9 in 2017, but he hasn't developed all that well. I think our LD cupboard is pretty full and if we're going to move Zadina in a change of scenery deal I'd prefer to get a C.
Brannstrom's D game sucks. He's basically a young Nick Leddy. I don't think he'd be a good fit with our current coaching staff.
I'd say pass.

Re: Zadina for Brannstrom Trade Rumor
Sounds reasonable enough to me.
I don't see Zadina ever turning it around in Detroit enough to matter.
I wouldn't mind trying other stalled picks, like:
Kravtsov, Dellandrrea, Foudy, Vilardi, Cody Glass,

Re: Zadina for Brannstrom Trade Rumor
All of them would interest me more than Brannstrom. His ceiling is probably a PP specialist that you try to hide at even strength. I don't think we have a need for that. Seider, Hronek & Edvinsson should be able to handle PP duties and we have Johansson, McIssaac and a whole bunch of other LD prospects. Of course if Brannstrom could still become a true 3-4, then why not?

Need to package Zadina ++ for a C, at least a C worth having.
I don't see him garnering all that much without some kind of sweetener unless its a swap of players not playing to their ability
