Why don’t we get the right Michigan natives - besides Larkin?
That 2015 draft the 3 picks before Chevy - Barzal, Connor & Chabot. Too bad we weren’t all in on the Michigan thing enough to trade up 2 spots back then.
Did Holland ever trade up in the first round of a draft? I can't remember him ever doing...it was always trading back with him for an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick.holytoledo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 2:56 pmWhy don’t we get the right Michigan natives - besides Larkin?

Not that I can recall. Basically missing on our firsts from 2015-2018 is a big part of where we are at right now.dcz28 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 3:28 pmDid Holland ever trade up in the first round of a draft? Maybe. We got that pick via trade, but trading up into the 95th pick wasn’t really what we were talking about. I was gonna look into it more but pictures of Page Spirinac came up in my browser and that seems more important to look into.Pop Zeus wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 3:22 pmDid he trade up to draft Filppula?holytoledo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 4:53 pmNot that I can recall. Looks like Flyers defenseman Keith Yandle's consecutive game streak is ending at 989 games. For some reason, the Flyers are sitting him out in the next game. And with that, Phil Kessel who is right behind Yandle in consecutive games played, could pass Yandle next season.

Not sure what he’s got left in the tank, but Yandle is a class act and a great guy in the room. I would not want both him and Staal on the roster next year, but if Staal doesn’t come back I wouldn’t mind Yandle at all as a bottom pair LD/place holder that can play on the PP. If he had a bit of a bounce back year he could probably return a 3rd or 4th at the deadline.
