Who else? Matt Tkachuk.
Very quiet game... and then boom. Wrist shot into the top corner.
13 seconds before OT #5.

Re: GDT: Stanley Cup Playoffs
I passed out midway through the 4th OT. Some ridiculous looking Ice time stats are an obvs byproduct of a game like this. Brandon Montour with God Damn near an hour of ice time, 57:56 by my watch.
It was my understanding there would be no math in the debates.
Re: GDT: Stanley Cup Playoffs
That iffy cross check that led to a two man advantage and a Cane goal, and the disallowed first OT Florida goal were both injustices IMO. The right team won.

Re: GDT: Stanley Cup Playoffs
I did make it thru the whole game. And then up at 6:30 to take my wife to a Dr appt, then over to the MIL's house to fix her boiler. It wa not just a thermocouple had to replace the gas valve!!! Finally found one and it is running at 6PM Day is shot! No nappy time! Hopefully no OT tonight!
Re: GDT: Stanley Cup Playoffs
Went to bed after the 3rd ended, no way i would have stayed up all night to watch this and get up at 5:30am to go to work. If the Wings were playing i would have watched it all but not doing that for any team other than them if i have to work early the next day.DelHowLich wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 7:21 pm I did make it thru the whole game. Re: GDT: Stanley Cup Playoffs
I have hated on Bob as a playoff choker his entire career, but he’s on fire this year. Tkachuk is having a Smythe worthy playoffs as well. 4 OT Goals?!?!

Tkachuk again in OT. WTF.
I don't understand how Calgary couldn't do more with Tkachuk and Bennett.

Re: GDT: Stanley Cup Playoffs
Got to admit, he's a helluva player. Brilliant job by Florida's GM to dump Huberdeau, who just isn't a playoff-type player, and go after Tkachuk. It's almost like the Shanahan trade, where they just needed this one piece to be a serious contender. Hope they win it all. Screw Brind'Amour and his boring-ass system.
