I like Dvorsky better than most but think he will go before the Wings get a shot at him.

I heard dvorsky was "mantha like". By mantha like -I mean issues with consistency and compete. Honzek would be a great pick for our second 1st rounder or even better our first 2nd rounder.DelHowLich wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 9:11 am I like Dvorsky better than most but think he will go before the Wings get a shot at him.

Most likely he will be gone by then, but is a good one to keep an eye on!Giddy Up wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 9:32 amI heard dvorsky was "mantha like". Re: 2023 NHL Entry Draft
I am really starting to lean Reinbacher if he’s there at 10 and then Danielson or Heldt with our 2nd pick, then maybe packing up some or all of our seconds if there’s someone who falls that’s worth moving up for.
But if one of Smith, Sale or Benson happen to slip then I’d want us to grab him. I like Moore too, but he seems to be rising and will likely be gone.
I don’t think Dvorsky fits the Wings hard working, character first mantra and can’t imagine we have much interest in him. There’s definitely a premium being placed on hard working guys and I think those are the ones most likely to over achieve. I like that strategy for where we pick. Elite effort can offset the lack of elite talent, especially if you get that from the entire roster.

Re: 2023 NHL Entry Draft
i’m leaning reinbacher and honzek. they remind me a little bit of seider and slafkovsky respectively.
Re: 2023 NHL Entry Draft
Is Reinbacher really projected to go top 10 or is it just this guy that thinks someone will take him in the top 10?
Would be nice to get this guy but Wings really need a center. Perfect draft would be to get one of the top centers with the Wings pick and get this guy with the Islanders pick. I would be ok if the Wings do get a center with their pick for them to move up if he is still on the board with the Islanders pick and some of their 2nds to get this guy too. 5 years from now having Seider, Edvinsson, Reinbacher and Wallinder as a top 4 would be pretty sweet assuming they all reach their potential. That would be a big mobile top 4.

Re: 2023 NHL Entry Draft
it’s still anyone’s guess. when was the last time a defenseman didn’t go top ten? reinbacher is the only defenseman i could see in the top ten right now. we’ll hopefully get a better sense for things soon when bob mckenzie drops his final poll. preseason hype was all about cam allen, and he’s dropped hard. in january, sandin-pellikka held the top spot for defenders, but he’s small and hasn’t had a great season. reinbacher was right behind him in the mid-season rankings, and the talk is that scouts have had more eyes on him after world’s.
that said, he’s my guy at ten assuming we don’t lottery up. i would bet money he’s gone before the islander pick rolls around. there are enough forwards to pull from at seventeen anyway. i’m all-in on building a top four around edvinsson, seider, wallinder, and reinbacher.
my dream scenario is reinbacher and honzek at the moment, but it looks like both are rising, so that’s probably in the realm of “can’t have both”.
