I love that "Brooksy" guy so much.

Fuck John Tortorella. He's a dickhead. I could watch Brooksy ruin his day all day long.

So glad Yzerman didn't hire Torts. Scott Hartnell told 2 stories about him on a podcast and one of them is pretty bad given he told Hartnell he couldn't put him on the ice in the last 10 minutes of a game because he was always out of position defensively. When Hartnell asked Torts to go over footage of him being out of position with him, Torts came back the next day (after watching footage of him) and said he was sorry and that he watched every shift he took and couldn't find anything about him being out of position but he said he still couldn't physically put him out there in those situations and he didn't trust him despite the footage he just saw of him being wrong.

Sure most coaches have favorites that they overlook all flaws and mistakes while they bench and healthy scratch other players they don't like for a lot less. We saw some of that with Blashill too when he shit on some players after a game while giving free passes and plenty of ice time to players who shit the bed way worst. When you take this into account along with the systems, it might be better to wait a bit to trade some younger players to see how they do with a new coach and system.

Anyhow this is the Hartnell podcast stories about Torts:
