I really wanted him to work out.
Agreed. He looked really promising early on. Then, he just disappeared. I don't even know what his injury was.
It was a separated shoulder. He disappeared because he was injured in the 9th game. I caught a couple of the Griffs' early games and he and Berggren looked really good creating a lot of chances but didn't manage to score in either of them. Berggren managed only 1 assist through his first 8 games but could easily have a few in the 2 early games I caught. I only watched 2 other games the rest of the season. It is more entertaining watching Swedish hockey on YT despite not understanding the language because of much better broadcast quality. If the AHL invested more in their broadcast quality and online media, I think it would pay dividends with increased viewership and an increased fanbase. I watched a lot more Griffs the year before because I enjoyed focusing on Seider and even though I didn't understand them, i could tell that announcers loved Seider in Sweden.
