Look at the Canes' series.
Aho - producing.
Trocheck - producing.
Kotka - 4 games 0-0-0 -3
Canes might have no choice but to resign Trocheck and trade Kotka - even if they have to eat some salary.
If the Canes at $1.2M in cap hit, would you trade to get him? Cap hit of $3.6M could still be an overpayment. but it could be a steal.
Wonder what that would cost.

Re: Kotkaniemi
This kid has a brilliant agent.
Got 6M offer sheet for Rasmussen-level production. Then, on top of it, got an 8-year extension worth 38M+.
But, hey, he's only 21. Maybe he'll miraculously develop into a solid point-producing 2nd line center, who is worth every penny.
Or, maybe Waddell is a fucking idiot.

Re: Kotkaniemi
Lundell only has 1 goal in 4 playoff games, if we are trading for an under producing center in the playoffs, i would rather trade for him. Seems like 90% of the Panthers forwards are listed as playing center...they won't miss him.
KK doesn't look like an upgrade for the Wings and they have plenty of under producing centers.
