I want Seider to win so we have to pay him more.
I really don't give a fuck if "our guy" wins trophies.
It just increases his cap hit for a reason that doesn't actually add real value.

Re: Calder talk
Good call, same reason I don't want any of our players to win the Hart, Norris or Vezina. Definitely don't want them to win the Conn Smythe, that would be a big boost to their contract demands....

MacKinnon = 638 NHL games
Bunting = 105
Calder rules need further adjustment. This mofo shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as 21yo Zegras, 20yo Lundell, or 20yo Raymond.

Re: Calder talk
He's also playing with Matthews and Marner, like I hate when people say "I could do blah blah blah" but at 40 on a line with those 2 I'd at least get 5 goals by accident, be -145 and probably pull my groin but I'd get 5 accidental goalsZattaman wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 4:38 pmLet that shit sink in!!Resmo112 wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 3:41 pmBunting and Nathon Mackinnon share the same BdayWingFanInA2 wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 9:40 am Still think it’s bullshit that Bunting is among the finalists.

Whitney, my man!
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sport ... 753210002/"I don't want this to be an attack on Michael Bunting because that is a great player who has helped out the Leafs a ton and had more success than Zach Hyman (Michigan) on that line," said Whitney, who played 481 career games in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.
"He (Bunting) had the same amount of goals (23), six more points than Lucas Raymond but he's six years older than Raymond for rookie of the year. The tweet that blew my mind: Nathan MacKinnon won rookie of the year in 2014. Michael Bunting may win it in 2022. What is that? Eight years? They're born two weeks apart. That's crazy.
It's not fair. Look at the season Raymond had as a 19-year-old. Bunting was playing with (Auston) Matthews and (Mitch) Marner. If he's not on the Toronto Maple Leafs, is he even in the top three?"
Re: Calder talk
Yeah i don't think Bunting should be a finalist. If Seider was playing on one of cup winning Wings rosters of 97-98 or 2002 as a 26 year old playing with a prime Lidstrom, i wouldn't think he should win it either. There are much better rookies that didn't have all the advantages Bunting had that should have been finalists over him.Zattaman wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 1:53 pm Whitney, my man!
