Straw poll indicates Seider will run away with it.

Bunting in second

...because he's 3 points ahead of Zegras (who is 5 years younger)??
...or maybe because he's 7 points ahead of Raymond (who is 6 years younger)??

Look, if he was running away with it and really separated himself from the pack in terms of goals and points, I wouldn't have a problem acknowledging him. But, he's got the same number of goals as two other rookies that are much younger than him. Not to mention the fact that Zegras and Raymond play on bad, rebuilding teams, and don't have the benefit of playing with two of the hottest scorers in the NHL.

My rankings

1. Seider
2. Lundell (decent case for him for #1, IMO)
3. Zegras
4. Jeannot
5. Boldy
6. Bunting
7. Raymond

No Swayman? It's a pity Byram missed so much of the season cause he probably would've picked up some votes too.

Just outside the discussion is Seth Jarvis. He was a PPG player at times (like now) but had a couple of slumps throughout the year.

Really good rookie crop.
Swayman deserves votes.
Drysdale, too.

Still think it’s bullshit that Bunting is among the finalists.
