Evaluating Centers in the 2023 Draft / Final Take on the 2023 Draft::

Final take for me, after looking at all the prospects, is really pretty simple. 1. At 9 and 17...there aren't going to be better centers than Kasper (ie top-6 centers for us)...and there aren't any big RHDs (the kind Yzerman invests big in). 2. There are some potential very-ELITE scoring wings thoug...

Re: Pre-Draft Top-10 Things I'm Looking Forward to Seeing in 2023-24

1. Red Wings Rookies. A) Kasper, of course. Is he a long-term NHL 3C, a 2C, a wing? Should know a ton about him in a yr. B) Mazur...super excited to see how he looks in Detroit. Is he a bottom-six grinder, or a top-line Bert-like presence? C) Edvinsson, obviously. Is he just a solid top-4 NHL DMan....

Cossa's playoff run..

43 saves on 44 shots last night. 4-0 with a 1.25 GAA in the post season thus far.

Turned it on in the WHL playoffs en route to a championship last season too (16-3, .919 SV%, 1.93 GAA).

This is a good sign.

Have the Red Wings REALLY been screwed by the draft lottery?

2019 . 4th best odds, 6th pick. Smart ppl could make the argument that Jack Hughes is more valuable than Seider (based largely on position). But I probably wouldn't make that trade. I think we got the best or second best player in that draft. And we didn't deserve the #1ovr pick anyways. NOT SCREWE...

Don't talk to me, you fucking retard. I remember EXACTLY how stupid you are from the politics thread. I wouldn't trust your worthless ass to collect my newspaper in the morning.

Re: Evaluating Left-hand wings in the 2023 Draft

Stevie traded Hronek because Hronek let it slip that his next contract demands where going to be $7M+ x 8. Also because he's small, a pussy, not very talented offensively, and not really that good defensively either. Hronek isn't a pussy. He's got a decent amount of grit. He's not even actually tha...

Re: Evaluating Left-hand wings in the 2023 Draft

I really like Benson, but I have to agree there are better options. His IQ and compete are near the top of the class, but for his size, I want better skating. I wouldn’t hate the pick at nine or anything, but he’s in the same boat as Moore for me. The way I see it shaking out, we will have a crack ...
